Psalm 136:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven, For his loving kindness (graciousness, mercy and compassion) endures for ever.
Preparations are well under way as we prepare the church for Sunday worship
God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble
We pray today for all those suffering from this corona virus at home and in hospital.
We pray for the government as they seek to lead the nation through this pandemic while suffering from the illness themselves. Lord, continue to give them wisdom and strength today and through the following days and weeks to come.
A prayer for medical and nursing staff:
Healing God, may you energy and power flow through them, giving skill to their hands, compassion to their hearts, clarity and judgment to their minds. Give them strength to minister to those who suffer and are in pain, in the name of Jesus who suffered and rose again: Amen
A prayer for all who suffer:
God of Grace and comfort, enfold all who are suffering at this time with your mercy. Strengthen them with the shield of faith and enable them to accept what is to come, heal them and bear their pain, keep them in peace, and fix their hearts on you; through Jesus Christ our Saviour: Amen
