We heard the names of those who we remember read out before God’s altar and lit candles in their memory. God has called each one of us by name, and made us his own, and those whom we named before him today, continue, like us, to be called and owned by him and held in his merciful love. “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will have life even if they die. And everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.”
