All Souls Service 6th November 2016
We heard the names of those who we remember read out before God’s altar and lit candles in their memory. God has called each one of us by name, and made us his own, and those whom we named before him today, continue, like us, to be called and owned by him and held in his merciful love. “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will have life even if they die. And everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.”
Church Camp Creation
A brilliant time was had by all the children who attended our Church Camp at Primrose Hill in July. We were blessed with lovely weather. The children produced artwork on the theme of the weekend – Creation. They went for a nature walk, played rounders and football, did arts and crafts and we finished the weekend with a lovely outdoor church service.
Messiah for all – Palm Sunday. It was an excellent performance by all those brave people from the congregation (and many others!) forming a 42 member choir who took part in this special event. A wonderful evening was had by all those who attended. Pictured below, Duane Tow, who co-odinated the evening, presents a cheque for £350 to the Scunthorpe branch of the Alzheimer’s Society.
‘Three Trees and a King’ – Good Friday activity morning at St Hugh’s Church, Old Brumby.
